“Back of a Napkin” Business Plan Competition

Finding a business with a strong value proposition in today’s marketplace is difficult.

We’ve found that if the fundamental premise of the value proposition is sound, and if the core principles are reliable, then a company has a strong chance of carving out a profit margin.

We are impressed by a smart CEO wielding a detailed 100-page business plan, but we are more impressed if the same CEO can express the heart of that plan on a the back of a napkin.

Your plan goes here...During 2006, MEC Labs (the group of researchers behind the Marketing Experiments Journal) will work with one talented group of entrepreneurs to help launch their business.

If you have an existing business (or even just a good business idea), a team of people ready to execute and are simply in need of capital and marketing expertise, you may consider participating in the MarketingExperiments.com First Annual “Back of a Napkin” Business Plan Competition.

The winner of this contest will receive a business jumpstart package worth over $100,000, including:

  • An exclusive 6-month marketing research partnership with MarketingExperiments.com, including marketing and strategy assistance, ongoing features in the Marketing Experiments Journal, valued at $75,000.
  • A 3-month public relations campaignwith Politis Communications, valued at $25,000.
  • Office space and administrative services in our Jacksonville Beach, FL offices.
