Lead Generation: Drive better ROI from your marketing campaigns

Many of us here in the lab headed out to California last week, a more successful West Coast swing than our hometown Jaguars thanks to a great MarketingSherpa B2B Marketing Summit. While in the Bay Area, our own Flint McGlaughlin, Managing Director (CEO) of MECLABS, headed down to Cisco headquarters in San Jose for an IPTV broadcast to the networking company’s worldwide partner community about driving better ROI from marketing campaigns.

Here’s a clip from a quick interview after the broadcast, about three simple principles that can help you optimize website conversions…

Flint will next be speaking live at the MarketingSherpa B2B Marketing Summit ’10 in Boston on October 25-26. He will be delivering the summit’s keynote, entitled, “Optimizing the Entire Sales Funnel: Three essential principles one company used to drive a 272% lift in leads generated online – plus live optimization.”

Flint will next be speaking virtually on our October 20 Web clinic – “Double the Value of Your Online Testing: Don’t just get a result, get the maximum customer insights.”

Absolutely necessary to have a compelling offer (specificity), good customer communication (continuity) and follow-through (relevance). These tips are specifically for web marketing, but are definitely derived from larger, more established principles in marketing. What the next level of web development will emphasize is connections– what do your friends recommend? We’ve found that customers who come to a brand via a recommendation are more engaged and more forgiving of mistakes. To translate that into website optimization, it’s key to have “sticky” buttons for facebook, twitter, etc.
