But let&#039;s step back for a moment and consider why that is true. I believe it is because non-profit organizations tend to give their audience something of value. In this case, that value was the ability to help save California&#039;s State Parks.

I believe if a company, retailer, school, business service, etc is similarly focused on providing &lt;em&gt;value&lt;/em&gt;, and not just &lt;em&gt;selling&lt;/em&gt;, these tactics should work as well.

So before any marketer just jumps into creating a Facebook Fan page, and looks at specific tactics that worked for another company or organization, you must first step back and ask yourself &quot;Why did it work? And what similar value can I provide to my audience?&quot;</description>
